Holland, MI is a vibrant city full of history and culture. It is located near the western shore of Lake Michigan in Allegan County, with a population of around 33,000 people. Politically, Holland is home to a wide variety of opinions and ideologies. The city council has seven members who are elected from four wards within the city limits. Each council member serves for four years and can be re-elected up to three times. The mayor is also elected by the public, and he or she serves for up to two consecutive four-year terms.
