Alamo, New Mexico is a small rural town located in the northeast corner of the state. The town has a rich history of farming and ranching that dates back to the late 1800s when it was founded. The population of Alamo is around 1,500 people and growing. In recent years, the town has seen an influx of new businesses and industries which have provided economic opportunities for its citizens.
Politically speaking, Alamo is a largely Democratic-leaning area with most residents expressing support for progressive candidates and causes. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
