Escondido, NM is a small city located in New Mexico that has a total population of around 8,000 people. Although a small city, it still has its own political landscape. The City Council is comprised of five members elected by the public every four years and they are responsible for representing the will of the residents when it comes to local decisions and policies. Each year they are required to come up with and pass resolutions on various issues including environmental protection, economic development, budgeting and housing. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
