Carle Place, NY is a small village of approximately 4,000 people located in Nassau County. It is a part of the larger Town of Hempstead and is governed by a Mayor and four Trustees. The current mayor is Paul N. Pereira and the trustees are Robert J. Sperber, Gary L. D'Angelo, Katherine A. Delaney and Michael Napolitano. Locally, Carle Place has its own Police Department as well as Village Hall which houses Carle Place's local government offices and services. The village also elects representatives to the Nassau County Legislature each year as well as New York State Assemblyman for the 20th District every two years. As a small community with limited resources Carle Place relies heavily on the engagement of its local residents to ensure that their voices are heard when it comes to important decisions about their community such as budgets, policies and infrastructure projects.
