Lynn, PA is a small town located in the Northeastern part of Pennsylvania. It has a population of about 5,000 people and is governed by a mayor-council form of government. The current Mayor is James W. Toth who was first elected in 2011 and is currently on his third term in office. The council consists of eight members who are elected by the citizens every four years. Each member serves on various committees including finance, public safety, health and human services, economic development, parks and recreation, community engagement and infrastructure. Political issues facing Lynn include budget deficits due to declining state funding, increasing demand for services such as public safety personnel and infrastructure repair due to aging roads and bridges.
