New Castle, PA is a city located in western Pennsylvania, and is the county seat of Lawrence County. It is a relatively small city, with a population of around 23,000 residents. The city is governed by a council-manager system, which consists of seven members on the City Council and an elected Mayor. The City Council focuses on setting policy for the entire municipality, while the Mayor serves as an ex officio member of the Council and presides over meetings. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations of the city government, the Mayor also works to promote New Castle's economic growth and development. Overall, New Castle has a small,friendly community. There are not a lot of jobs there. Most people work in the Pittsburgh. It is easy to afford a home. Similar to  More
