Fort Bliss, TX is a military city located in El Paso County. It is home to the United States Army’s 1st Armored Division, which is the largest armored division in the Army. The city of Fort Bliss has a mayor-council form of government. The mayor is elected every two years and serves as the chief executive for the city. The City Council consists of six council members, each representing one of six single-member districts and two City Council representatives elected at-large.
