Williamstown, VT is a small rural town in Vermont with approximately 1,967 residents. Despite its small size, politics still play an important role in the local community. There are currently three members on the Williamstown Select Board: Chair June Pazdur, Vice-Chair Mike Kaminsky and Treasurer Mark Slattery. The select board works to ensure that the town’s budgetary decisions reflect the needs of its citizens and to make sure that all of Williamstown's public services are operating properly. Additionally, the town holds several annual events such as Town Meeting Day and the Williamstown Summer Festival to further engage local residents in civic life. Through these events, citizens have the opportunity to learn more about current political issues and express their opinions through public forums or voting for candidates they support. In short, politics plays an important role in this small Vermont town despite its relative lack of size.
