Stevenson, WA is a small town in the Columbia River Gorge area with a population of around 1,800. In terms of local politics, Stevenson is part of the Skamania County and is represented by three County Commissioner districts – District 1 (Bear Creek/Skamania), District 2 (North County) and District 3 (Stevenson). The current commissioners are Chairman Steve Roberts (District 1), Dan Tjossem (District 2) and Greg Zickau (District 3). The Skamania County Board of Commissioners works to improve the quality of life for county residents by making decisions on budgeting, public safety, economic development, land use planning and more. Additionally, the board works to ensure that citizens have access to their local government by hosting regular meetings in each district and keeping citizens informed on important news and updates.
