Ruby, WI is a small rural village located in the outskirts of Wisconsin. Though the population is relatively low, the citizens of Ruby take an active role in their politics. On election day, residents come together to cast their votes for local candidates and decide on important issues that affect the community. The city council consists of five representatives elected by the locals who hold various positions such as mayor, city treasurer, and district supervisor. Each term is two years long and elections are held during each summer. Ruby also hosts town hall meetings throughout the year which are open for all citizens to attend and debate various topics related to local government. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
