Dover Township in Otsego County, Michigan is a small community with a population of approximately 2,000 people. It is mainly rural with some agricultural activity and a few businesses. The township has its own local government that includes a board of trustees, which consists of three members elected for four-year terms by the residents. Decisions regarding zoning, roads and other infrastructure improvements, taxation and more are made by this board. Additionally, the township hosts its own elections for various positions such as township supervisor and treasurer every two years. Recently, several local political candidates have been campaigning for these positions in Dover Township in hopes of being elected to better serve their community. The elections will be held on November 3rd and the residents of Dover Township look forward to seeing who will be elected to make positive changes within their community.
