The small town of Isle La Motte, Vermont is an unincorporated community located in the northwestern part of Grand Isle County. Isle La Motte is a rural town with a strong sense of community and unique local government. The town currently has no mayor, but instead is governed by a three-member Selectboard who are elected by the citizens of the town for three year terms. These board members make decisions on behalf of the citizens and work together to ensure that all services are provided at a high level to its residents. As such, local politics often revolves around issues such as taxes, infrastructure and social services.
