Fentress County, TN is located east of Nashville near Jamestown and Allardt. It was created from parts of Morgan & Overton counties back in 1823 with an estimated population around 17,600 people. Popular attractions include boating or fishing at Dale Hollow Lake or camping at Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area; along with many historical sites like Rugby (formerly known as British America) built 1889-1900 or Camp Richland (established 1962) that offer visitors a chance to learn about Fentress' rich heritage.
