| Great Weather BUT Insurance and food costs high. - 5/20/2018
WE found a house W/Pool in Hudson that my wife from California was acceptable to move to Florida. We were shocked at the increases in the house insurance and the automobile insurance with $2,500 to $ 3,500 deductibles. We're paying triple premiums. My wife is a Gourmet chef and she saw our grocery costs for the year go from $5,500 in California to $7,200 a year in Hudson. We eat most of our meals at home.
We are within two to three miles from every thing including medical facilities. There is no traffic grid lock and we live in a very safe community. We have two sheriff's finest living across the street, that may be a factor.
I recommend Hudson for anyone to retire or raise a family, if you do your due diligence to make sure your budget can afford it. The property values have increased and are projected to do so again next year. Buy sooner than later if you plan on making a move to Hudson, Florida. We did!

| Thinking of purchasing a new Lennar home in Hudson - 9/26/2015
Shopping and restaurants look nice. Some reviews were negative and some homes looked junky. Homes are being built on Eastfork Lane. What are the opinions of the residence?

| Cost of Living - 6/5/2013
We retired to Hudson Florida to make our retirement dollars stretch as far as possible. Weather is great, shopping is plentiful, beach is nearby and after ten years we still love this area.

| Diamond in the Ruff - 6/5/2012
Love the Hudson area. Cost of living is low, golf is very affordable and very accessible. As a retired couple from Canada and spending 6 months a year down here it's perfect and away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. A true Diamond in the Ruff for sure.

| weather's fine very boring here.. - 10/3/2011
it's either a retirement community or you drive a block and it's nothing but trailers with junk in the front yard. some nice beaches close but better to move to new port richey or port richey.. has some really nice canal houses.. and pretty cheap..

| Beautiful Florida Weather - 6/10/2009
I've lived in Florida for over 35 years and the weather is always beautiful. If your into sun and fun Florida is the place to be. Yes there are hurricanes every once in a blue moon but other places have tornados or snow. There is always something negative in every state. Florida is certainly a wonderful place to retire or to raise a family.

| Quality of life - 4/17/2006
A greate place for the retired. Rental & food costs are very low. Mobile home parks start @ $185.00/month to what ever
you want to spend. Again, you can spend $10.00 a day on food
to what ever you want to spend.
