Nice quaint town - 5/29/2021

I lived here for a little under a year. It's a safe, quiet town that has the luxury of having a lot of necessities within walking distance. Not the most happening place, but there aren't many strikes against it.

Entertainment - 12/5/2015

Kernersville has a lot of family entertainment and social events. The Honeybee Festival in the late summer has a display of many artist's works. There is the Kernersville Folly with tradesman, music, entertainment, and rides for children. A few times a year there are antique car shows with local folks displaying their old autos and trucks on Main Street. Music and bands are included. All shops are open for business all along the street. There are July 4th fireworks and a parade. There is a Senior Center and library in the downtown area. Triad Park, just outside the town on Rt 421, has trails. for walking both paved and in the wooded areas. There is the Field of Honor constructed for remembering all our veterans which includes a water fall monument. This beautiful park includes picnic shelters, vending machines, restroom facilities, and a newly constructed podium for concerts and special events. There is a tennis court and a couple of volleyball areas set up. Local business owners have special events on sidewalks to attract business and entertainment. There are Christmas parades that include the local high school bands, dance studios, and floats. Kerners Folly, a home built years ago, is a local attraction that many enjoy. There is the Kernersville Little Theater that puts on plays during the year at a local school and at Kerners Folly. Harmon Park is right in the downtown area and has a shelter and often has movie night and concerts. The Kernersville YMCA offers summer camps, swimming, and their own year round events. There is the Swaim Baseball Park where children of all ages can team up to play. We do have much to offer in entertainment and your review should be rewritten and moved to the PRO side.

Economy - 12/5/2015

I would NOT say Kernersville is on the economic downturn. We have lived here for 22 years and in this time frame the town has changed tremendously with added grocery stores, car dealerships, and many chain stores such as Staples, Kohl's, Target, Walmart, Maurices, Kay Jewelers, Ellis Jewelers, four Subways, Hallmark Gifts, Verizon, Radio Shack, Aldi's, five large grocery stores, and 4-5 well known drug stores. In addition there are MANY smaller stores that offer gift items, clothing, furniture, art and framing, car repair and parts for sale, and many other interesting items. The medical facilities have grown tremendously and Kernersville has it's own hospital. Many residents do travel to nearby Greensboro and Winston Salem for employment but many stay in Kernersville as well and work in retail, sales, the medical field, teaching, construction, and service jobs.

Small Town Charm - 11/22/2014

Kernersville has a small town feel but also offers a clean, family-friendly environment. Just minutes away from larger cities (Greensboro and Winston-Salem) provides many choices for dining, culture and entertainment. Kernersville is a busy little town that offers many activities for individuals and families.

Kernersville NC - 4/2/2009

Kernersville NC is a great small community that is between Winston-Salem and Greensboro. You can get to either in about 20 minutes and lots to do there.
