Even though there are a huge number of homes on the market, there are still new homes being built and more and more vacant homes. The new homes don't necessarily have owners, its just the developers are in a frenzy.

| Housing - 8/31/2014
Since the housing prices have declined so much in the area (we bought our home in 2006, now in 2014 we have lost $100,000 in value) I have noticed the crime rate is going up. There are a lot more property crimes, the violent crime rate has risen also but not to the same extent.

The Lake Arrowhead Architectual Committee known as AWAC
will make all decisions as to the color of your home.
Brown and green appear to be the favorite of AWAC.
Any and all new renovation to your home has to be approved by AWAC. To include exterior lighting.
Approval is also required to place a fence on your property.
Be prepared to get a letter from AWAC should you decide to get a greenhouse, add a storage shed, put up a fence for your dog or paint your home.
