Taos, you deserve a visit! Hi - 1/17/2022

I’ve traveled to many places in my lifetime. New Mexico is a favorite. Typically we stay in The Inn of The Governor’s in Santa Fe. (It’s an awesome place.) This winter we split our time up (5days each) between Taos and Santa Fe. Taos in my opinion has friendlier locals than Santa Fe, the food is amazing and the landscape is breathtaking. Art, wow so much opportunity to see talents expressed in many mediums. If you’re interested in an amazing place with awesome weather and breathtaking scenery, you owe it to yourself to come to this area of Northern New Mexico.

Living here full time - 12/5/2009

Taos is beautiful with much to offer. However, housing is very expensive. Because much of the town's economy focuses on tourism, there are few jobs available in other areas. Many people work 2 and 3 jobs just to afford living here.

On the Cusp of Climate Zones - 3/4/2008

What makes Taos a wonderful place to live or visit is the fact that it sits on the cusp of such varied climate/terrain zones. From the center of town you can drive 20-30 minutes in different directions and find: sage brush desert, high alpine mountains (Skiing), the Rio Grande Gorge, Grassy meadows and rolling hills, Historic Towns, hot springs, etc.
