Ripe for picking

A savvy manufacturing company would be smart to choose Seneca Falls for relocation or expansion facilities. Manufacturers have ample access to major NYS highways and a rail system. There's even a small regional airport for shuttles to larger Rochester or Syracuse airports. Located at the top of two Finger Lakes Wine Trails, there is a vibrant tourism trade in the warmer months. Housing is downright cheap and an ample workforce would welcome new career opportunities. Seneca Falls looks like a town right out of a Norman Rockwell sketchbook with a quaint downtown retail area and a several blocks of Victorian houses. On the outskirts of town there is shopping at a large outlet mall and a Walmart. As a frequent visitor to Seneca Falls, we enjoy using the waterfront as a docking point to grab lunch or dinner and a stop at a museum. Its a great central stopover point when we drive around the lakes for Fall colours, check out the growing number of wineries and artisan cheese makers, or head for the hills in winter for downhill and cross-country skiing.
Central New York's best-kept secret is Seneca Falls. I would not be surprised to see a crop of green industries start setting up shop in this town so hungry for growth.
