| Maricopa, is a great place to avoid the outrageous home prices of Phoenix and enjoy a small town atmosphere, while still being close enough to the metro area for good jobs and good pay.

Except for the fact that between 5a-10a it will prob take close to two hours to get into Phoenix, maybe an hour to an hour and a half to Tempe/Mesa. I lived in Maricopa and worked in south Scottsdale. I volunteered for overtime so that I could come in early, to get to work by 6am I had to leave 4:30a. At 4:30a there was traffic building up on the 347. It is INSANE!!!!!!!

| They messed up our beautiful desert! - 11/11/2009
I have lived in the Hidden Valley area of Maricopa for a dozen years. It used to be beautiful open desert peopled by inhabitants who loved the desert and kept it pristine. NOW IT'S A MESS. Without ever asking us for a vote the rich developers moved in a hundred thousand people who have no respect for us or the desert. Now the problem is finding a place to move to that won't let that kind of thing happen.[read more...]
