Don't overlook Shawnee. Homes are a relative bargain compared to Leawood and Overland Park. Really nice homes for a fraction of the East Coast or West Coast prices. Commute times are a little long for the Midwest.

Good schools, lots of ammenities, shopping, but a bit expensive on the area scale....
