I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life & absolutely adore it here. Cincinnati has so many things to offer, if you get out & look for it. There is tons of activities you can do around here such as the Cincinnati Zoo, attending a Reds or Bengals game, Newport Aquarium, Kings Island, tons of concerts, & many amazing parks. The dining here awesome. Cincinnati has a bunch of locally famous restaurants such as Skyline, Goldstar, Larose's, Montgomery Inn, ect. However many out of state residents aren't found of it, because well their not use to these types of foods & how they are prepared. Cincy is also filled with lots of German restaurants, festivals, activities & heritage. While reading other comments, I've seen how Cincy is full of drugs, prostitution, crime, violence, & you should not go out after dark if you'd like to remain safe. I go around Cincinnati (especially downtown) all the time during day & night time. I've personally never had a problem, nor has anyone I've known. Yes, it's dangerous to be out at night, but where isn't it? The city is usually heavily patrolled with police downtown. Yes, there is crime & such, however name a city today that doesn't have any crime in it. The city fairly diverse, full of good hearted residents. I've never seen such a community come together in times of need for numerous reasons. There is many colleges located locally & education rates are pretty high for colleges & public schools in the area. University of Cincinnati is located in one of the not so better areas around town, however it's extremely loaded with campus police & security. I know many people who attend the campus & live there & have no problems what so ever. You're alerted if anything happens in or around campus & if something does happen it's usually a person alone late at night. However, I know plenty of people who roam the streets going to & from off campus housing alone & with others & are just fine. Downtown is mostly business like, so if you're interested in living here there is numerous towns located minutes away that more relaxed if the downtown life isn't for you.
