A Great Place To Raise a Family or Retire!
Star Rating - 9/6/2015
I grew up in Buffalo and I do have to say it's one of the best small towns in America! At the base of the beautiful Bighorn Mountains, it offers great access to mother nature. The town itself is quaint and quiet. Perfect for raising a family or retiring. The pro's of this town are: Quiet, low crime, beautiful parks and trails, lots of recreational activities (Huge outdoor pool and one of the top 100 golf courses in the US is located here), good public school system. There are some cons, like any place. They are: fairly isolated so if you're a shopper, you have to drive about 35 miles to Sheridan. Medical services are somewhat limited. There is a hospital but if you require major surgery you'd have to travel a ways. Not the best place for teens and singles. In my experience most teens leave the town after high school and some come back when they reach their 30's. Single people, especially males, have a pretty hard time finding dates. Overall it's a great town if you're looking to settle down.
