The only bright spot is the RiverCenter. Other than that there is very little culturally to do in Columbus

Awful Weather - 7/17/2006

Columbus is very humid in summer and very uncomfortable. There is no spring and very little fall. Winter is rainy and cool. Summer goes on for about 6 months with mostly upper 80's to upper 90's weather. It is miserable.

It is a great place to live with children. The crime is low. School are good.

columbus ga is not ready for me yet,simply because alot of the people there(non military) has never been anywhere,and are not really ready for diversity.their not very welcoming of northerners at all.very very difficult to communicate with them,simply because they have such a complex,it is somewhat baffling to me,i've never been around such a group of people.keep in mind that fort benning makes up the majority of columbus ga(who would have known)thanx for the opportunity.
