I agree. I lived in Laurel for 29 years and watched it grow: housing, population, and traffic. When I decided to retire, we still had a mortgage and I knew we could not afford to stay. Our one acre with one house valued around $250,000 is now the site of 4 houses valued at over $400,000! All that being said, there are some very nice neighborhoods, plenty of restaurants and shops, historical places to see, parks, and easy access to major highways. As long as a person has adequate income, it is a very good "bedroom" community.
