If you stay in the pockets of civilization in the east suburbs and just venture downtown some.... you might as well be in generic suburbia of anywhere.. The westside of greenville is a nightmare waiting to happen, large pockets of subhuman depravity,Crackheads, toothless Meth addict hillbillys wondering where the mill went,Gangs, drunks , perverts of all types, religious kooks.. all with a severe ingrained inferiority complex ( at least the gangs know what self esteem is )that make them hate anyone that even seems like they have it together... I have traveled to a lot of weird places all over the world but the west side of Greenville is just abysmal...Also the south has parts about as bad.. Greenville was ran by psychotic religious kooks and corrupt insane government for most of the 20th century.... At least the East side is normalized now

Jeff, Can you tell me anything about Hampton-Pinckney Heights? We are moving to the area and the houses look quaint, but not sure about the safety of the neighborhood. Thanks! Susie
