Review of Freeport, Illinois

Exciting improvements being made!
Star Rating - 3/9/2016
This is an exciting time to live and visit Freeport, Illinois! With one of the most beautiful park districts in Illinois, the completion of the Jane Addams Trail, Tutty's Crossing, the Wetlands, and Oakdale Nature Preserve, recreational wise, you couldn't ask for more.
The downtown area has over 100 buildings over 100 years old. There is a unique history of the Lincoln/Douglas debates as well.
Violent crime is down in the city. The school district is working hard toward improvements.
I am so happy we chose Freeport for our home. The people are so kind and so many are working toward making it a better place for everyone.

You are right. There are many great improvements being made. I have only been here since 2018 and I have seen lots of new buildings and houses being built. The people that are giving Freeport bad reviews on the internet are, 1). the renters on the Eastside who hate their Landlords and their lives, and 2). the people who don't want more people to move here because they are afraid taxes will get higher like in Chicago; which is a really dumb reason to give your own town bad reviews but ok... This is a wonderful town for *Winners*. Losers do not like this town. Its as simple as that. But losers don't like it anywhere cause wait for it.... Wait for it... They are losers!!!
