Horrible kloaka I have been living in Miami for 10 months by now. There is corruption everywhere and a lot of crime. I have already been assaulted during daylight at the gas station, robbed, had my house burglarized, become a victim of hit-and run, had to sue real estate agent for selling me the house without a roof, principal at a school refused to employ me further for using a bathroom more than once during the 7-hour work day (one was during my lunch). i tried to appeal citation for trash, they never sent me a hearing notice, just put a lien on my house). Drivers are extremely rude, cut in front of you without any signals, do not how to drive, honk at your if you do not start driving immediately the trafiic light changes, I hear shhotings outside my house every other day, property taxes are outrageous: 7% of the value of the house, small claims litigation costs $ 300 to file. Horrible! ATMs cannot be found anywhere close: only at the banks. When you go to downtown to the opera or ballet, you have to carry mace because all kind of homeless criminals approach you and try to get money from you for parking. Police does not investigate criminal cases unless they are murders. No authority! It is a third world country city, worser than Mexico. I wish I could get out of here, but nobody wants to buy my house. The only good place is Miami Beach and a narrow stretch on The Eastern side of Biscayne Blvd ( US-1).
