Hi! This is Bert Sperling, and I'm asking for
your help with a study I'm doing. I would like to ask you just one question
about "block parties" where you live.
As you may know, I've been analyzing and reporting on American cities and towns
for over twenty years. I'm doing a study of community involvement and I'd
like to know if you have "block parties" in your neighborhood or town.
Block
parties are neighborhood gatherings where a street may be closed for a few hours
so neighbors have an opportunity to grill some burgers and share some stories
and music.
I hope you can take a few seconds to let me know if block parties
are an important part of your community. If you'd like to be included in a drawing

Please select the option that best describes you community.
To finish, I just need your location (City, State or Zip Code):
Thanks for your time!
I really appreciate it.
As a small compensation for sharing your thoughts, I'm giving away five beautiful
hand-fired enamel pins to random respondents. The subject of these pins are
types of houses we find across the country. Pretty appropriate, I'd say.

below, either an email address or phone number.

The Prairie style- One of my favorites.
Evolving from the suburbs of
Chicago
in the early 1900's, Frank Lloyd Wright's early work was in this style. I
really like the generous overhanging eaves which help keep the weather off the house
and provide shade during the summer. |
