The politics of Salisbury Borough in Pennsylvania is an integral part of the local governance. The borough is a primarily Democratic-leaning county, having voted for the Democratic presidential candidate in every election since 1964. Other parties are represented on the ballot, but they rarely have a significant showing in elections. The borough's mayor is elected by popular vote to serve as head of the local government and preside over all meetings and decisions made by the council. The town council consists of five members, each representing a different district within the county. These members are elected at large to serve two-year terms and oversee issues related to public safety, infrastructure, budgeting, and public services.
