Bell County, KY is a small rural community located in the Appalachian Mountains. It has a long history of providing residents with strong local leadership and representation in government. The county is governed by an elected Board of Commissioners, with each commissioner representing one of three districts. In addition to the board, there are other officials such as the Judge-Executive, Sheriff and Coroner who provide important services for residents. There are several parties that have candidates running for office in Bell County, including Republican, Democratic and Independent. The Kentucky primary election takes place on May 18th and will determine which candidates will represent each party on the ballot during the general election in November.
