Great place to live a self contained city - 5/12/2017

What a great place to live. Right by the water and beach yet it has all of the conveniences of the city. There is the mall, shopping, restaurants & medical facilities are all around the golf course. Friends are amazed how you have everything that you need in one or two miles. Also, it is safe and beautifully maintained. We used to live n Miami Beach and this is so much better.

Just not the same - 4/17/2017

My family and I have lived in Aventura for five years. It is one of the nicer suburbs of Miami. It is well kept, and has various city parks and trails that are a wonderful bonus. I have rated it 3 stars for two reasons: 1) increase in crime 2) ultra-high cost of living with limited housing options (very few single-family homes & mostly condos/apartments). I would recommend families consider Sunny Isles, Coral Springs, Key Biscayne or Davie/ Plantation for these reasons.

Aventura is a nice place in South Florida... - 8/30/2008

You are just minutes from the beach. Aventura is pretty much all condos, but the majority of them are very nice. You can pick up a nice 1 bed room apartment for $1300+ a month. A little higher then else where in South Florida, but the location is great and the community much nicer. Crime is very low. There's the Aventura Mall with lots of great shopping including a 24 screen AMC theater and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. South Beach is only 15 mins away too.

What should I expect, moving there from New York? How is the wheather? What is the cost of living there?

Sunshine - 5/23/2006

Great weather, if you can put up with the humidity and hurricanes in the summer.
