Great Town - 2/6/2022

I love Jupiter. I grew up here and love the beaches, the people, and the amazingly underrated Riverbend Park in the Jupiter Farms area. The winters here are beautiful and the sunsets and sunrises are unmatched

Proud to call Jupiter home - 4/5/2021

Having lived in South Florida my entire life I finally stumbled across Jupiter about 10 years ago. We started going to the beach on Marcinski and ultimately knew that that is where we wanted to be. We bought a home in 2015 and the rest is history. We love jupiter for so many reasons. The beach is beautiful, we can take our dog. The restaurants are top notch and the city is safe and clean. We are proud to call Jupiter home!

Florida the way it was meant to be... - 12/18/2017

Jupiter enjoys the enviable position of being one of the few spots in Palm Beach County where the beach is not separated from the mainland by a barrier island. It is also one of the few remaining dog friendly beaches anywhere. But its the pure turquoise waters that rush into our inlet twice each day that is the life blood of this community. While growth over the past few years has added traffic and parking issues the quality of life still remains superior to most of the South Florida landscape.

OVERPROCED NONSENSE - 6/8/2017

OVERPRICED nonsense... nothing special but yet the cost of living in Jupiter is just plain ridiculous.. considering it has nothing different than a few towns above it

Jupiter Living by the Beach - 5/20/2017

I have lived in South Florida since 1979 living in Boca Raton and moved to Jupiter in 1997 when it was still a small town. It has grown dramatically in the past 15 years but Jupiter has done a good job of keeping the small town feel. Drive along US 1 and you will see miles of green space unlike any other town here in the area. We have a dog friendly beach, great schools and beautiful waterways. I travel to other parts of the US and always find it difficult to find anything as nice as Jupiter. www.Jupiter1oceanfront.com

Wouldn't trade it for anything - 4/16/2017

I've lived in Jupiter my entire life. I've visited many places and none compare. You have beautiful beaches, endless sunshine, the Loxahatchee River, Jupiter Inlet, and of course the Atlantic Ocean. Everything is clean and pristine. Very nicely manicured in most places. There's an overall feeling of peace and relaxation in the air. You feel like you're on vacation in the tropics, except it's your home. Lots of families choose to move to Abacoa, which some say is the social hub of Jupiter. At the walkable Downtown Abacoa, there's tons of restaurants, boutique shops, and live entertainment. Pretty much anything you could need. Not to mention Roger Dean Stadium for the sports fans. Harbourside Place is an outdoor shopping complex right on the Intracoastal Waterway. It's brought so much new attention to our community, plus tons of great shops and restaurants like The Woods by Tiger Woods. People are generally friendly and laidback, and the schools are rated some of the best in the county. Lots of kid activities/facilities too. If you love to boat, you'll be in paradise. Boaters and fishermen everywhere. Also, I've never had to worry about crime in my 31 years of living here. I wouldn't hesitate to move here, whether you're a family, a retiree or seasonal visitor who wants to live by the ocean, or just someone who has excellent taste. I recommend visiting www.abacoaonline.com to learn about Abacoa and www.jupiterseaside.com to see everything that's available in Jupiter.

Made a great choice - 1/12/2017

I am so far very happy we moved to Jupiter. We bought a home here about 10 months ago and I am loving it here. I was not a big FL fan until I came to this area. I live in a great open community in Jupiter called Abacoa. It was planned and planned very well. You can walk/bike to shops and restaurants. There are bike lanes and sidewalks everywhere. Late Summer humidity is kind of oppressive but overall the climate is great especially in the Winter. The age demographic is on a normal curve with lots of younger families with kids. There is plenty to do with your free time; the beaches and parks are astounding. West Palm is a short drive away and further afield you have Miami. It's more expensive here than it used to be but coming from CT is seems reasonable and a big plus no state income tax.

Turtle River Montessori - 10/30/2016

This is our children's fifth year at turtle river Montessori. Our daughter and son started as 2 year olds at the east campus, where they were given a beautiful introduction to school. They were taught how to be kind and considerate to their friends and teachers. They learned practical life skills and basic concepts. The teachers and staff are amazing. They are loving and present the Montessori method beautifully in their classrooms. Both of our kids are now at the west campus where they are thriving. Our 2nd grade daughter and 3 year old son amaze us daily on what they are learning at the school. They are taught to learn through their own experiences and at their own pace. I believe because of this approach they love learning and aren't scared to challenge themselves. We are very happy with our decision to have our children attend Turtle River Montessori.

Jupiter is a southeast Florida coastal community located in Northern Palm Beach County. Jupiter and it's sister community, Tequesta, are surrounded by waterways to include the Loxahatchee River and Inter-Coastal, giving direct access to the Atlantic ocean. Homes in Jupiter range in price, style, and size and therefore; Jupiter remains a popular place in which to live whether you're a first time homebuyer or a seasoned homebuyer seeking the perfect paradise lifestyle. Jupiter has it all...great lifestyle, great schools, and many amenities to include its beautiful beaches.

Nice Place to live - Jupiter, FL - 4/22/2014

Jupiter, FL is a nice place to live with a lot of great restaurants. It is a growing town, and we will soon have our own "Fresh Market" grocery store. The beaches are nice and also there is a section of the beach that allows dogs. Parking at the beach is also free! There are lots of parks to enjoy and one in particular, River Bend, offers a great place to ride bicycles or canoe/kayak.

Jupiter housing market - 7/6/2013

I have been here in Jupiter 15 plus years and seen it continue to grow. The housing market is very strong and continues to get stronger with very little new construction. Living by the beach will cost you more than living West and there is very little new condos or homes near the beach. You can use this great websit www.Jupiter1oceanfront.com to see Jupiter oceanfront condos and beach communities for sale. It shows all the homes for sale as well as recent sales. Great information. Check it out at www.Jupiter1oceanfront.com

L(.) (.)K twice - 7/4/2013

Jupiter, FL – the exclamation point at the end of Palm Beach county! Beautiful natural area – parks, beaches, ICW, bike lanes, and art festivals from January through early May. It's a wonderful place to vacation, but not the place to live. The town offers no community. It exists for visitors, the wealthy absentee property owners who come to their $2-3,000,000 McMansion properties during “the Season” to play golf and get away from the cold. They bring attitude...ATTITUDE. If you want to be part of a community and live among friendly neighbors, Jupiter is NOT for you. There are too many empty houses that are s-o-m-e-t-i-m-e-s occupied by snowbirds who aren't involved with the community. Rent a place for a while before you move here permanently and experience the emptiness for yourself.

Jupiter Florida - 1/14/2011

I have been living in Jupiter Florida for 13 years in a gated beachfront community called Xanadu by the Sea. A community of about 60 homes the community backs to Carlin Park to the north which gives you beautiful preserve views as well as lake views. Just across the street we have a beautiful beach that is dog friendly. A short walk is Jupiter Inlet to the north and Juno Pier to the south. We have a 7 mile bike lane that runs along the ocean as well as a sidewalk too. Shopping, restaurants and bars are just minutes away. It is by far one of the most beautiful places to live in Florida. Look at homes here.

Attitudes - 11/12/2008

Living in South Florida (Jupiter) is wonderful...temps are warm, the water is green, the people are friendly....well, maybe not that friendly. Visitors should beware TWO "attitudes" which prevail, each in it's "season". The first is the "vacation" attitude which flies south with the annual "snowbird" influx. This attitude, understandably, sounds very much like the chirpings of the affluent, over-indulgent, ever-demanding, two-nested Northern Crank. The other "attitude", much more subtle and surprising to the unwary, is probably, to some degree, a result of the first. Even the local residents, those fortunate to reside here year-round,are wary of the sly and unscrupulous GreenBack Gouger. Always a threat, the GBG is most evident when the Snowbird is in residence. Look for high prices, shoddy workmanship or product, and a very offensive "take-it-or-leave-it" shrug in the shoulder area. Although prevalent in all of South Florida, both "attitudes" seem to increase as one gets closer to salt water. But we love it! After all these years, we still watch the weather report to see all the snow we aren't getting.

Young and in Jupiter - 7/26/2008

I think if I was older or with a family I would love to live in Jupiter. It is a quaint coastal town with beautiful (dog friendly) beaches. But it is just a bit too quiet for my tastes. Mind you the more populous and "happening" west palm beach is just 20 minutes down the road. Still as a former Miami beach local, I must say that I miss to eclectic crowds and electric chaos of Miami compared to Jupiter. But, then again having a beautiful beach with aqua blue water almost enitrely to yourself isn't that bad wither. To have Jupiter as an escape from Miami would be my ideal situation I think. Live, work and play in Miami, and escape and relax in Jupiter.

Quaint, coastal community - 5/20/2008

We've recently relocated to Jupiter from Portland, OR. The two couldn't be more different. Jupiter is a quaint, little coastal town slightly north of West Palm Beach. The cost of living is relatively high, however, the current housing slump has brought the price of homes down substantially making Jupiter more affordable for middle-class families. Expect to pay high property taxes, insurance, and HOA fees though. That is where the real sticker shock kicks in. The beaches are beauiful and the people, for the most part, are friendly. Coming from Portland, I would say that Jupiter is quite a bit more conservative. If you have a good paying job, a family, and a desire to live close to the ocean, Jupiter is a good option.
