Review of Santa Maria, California

It's Tough Living in Paradise
Star Rating - 7/15/2007
The climate in Santa Maria is wonderful. Flowers bloom year-round and it's very temperate since we're only 9 miles from the coast. However, since this is a highly agricultural area and the wind blows frequently during the summer, it's very hard on people with allergies. In addition, the cost of living is quite high. The price of an average 3-bedroom house begins around $400,000. But, the crime rate is low, we're close to the ocean and mountains and it's gorgeous here. So, that's why we Santa-Marians say, "It's tough living in paradise!" And, who want's to leave paradise?
