Review of North Pole Ala,

Weather
Star Rating - 9/21/2007
We've lived in Alaska since 1999, the winters are getting more mild each year (global warming makes the newspaper front page often). There are only a couple weeks of -30 and a few days of -50. Each summer has been different. One summer I wore shorts all summer and went to the lake. Another summer we had so many fires you had to wear a mask and wipe the ash from your car before you could drive. One summer I was only able to wear shorts one day. This summer (2007) has been beautiful, not too many mosquitos, bees or fires, lots of blue skies with white billowy clouds. I wore pants all summer, but had short sleeves. Late this evening my dog and I walked the 2.5 miles into town and checked our mail, the bank temperature sign said it was 34 degrees. It only felt like 50 degrees!
