Review of Knoxville, Tennessee

Don't Knock Knoxville
Star Rating - 12/12/2011
Heres is my take on Knoxville:
Easy to drive around;
Lots of scenic beauty;
I find Tennesseans friendly and polite.
I think the culture is family friendly and conservative and slow.
Pace of life is slow.
It helps if you like UT Football.
Cost of living is low and so are wages.
Downtown is rundown unfortunately.
No state tax on income.
Sales tax is 9% across the board.
I feel safe here where I live although there is a low income section on the other side of town.
Art museums and culture events on low side.
I grew up close to NYC and have been all over the US; I really like it here. But it is not for everyone and onr would do well to know what you can live with and what you can't if you are thinking of moving here.
