| Recreation - 5/17/2009
Fountain Hills is a small urban community on the northeast ourskirts of the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area. The town is very close to the reservoir lakes on the Salt River that provide boating, camping and fishing activities. The Four Peaks wilderness area is about 15 miles away and provides offroad driving and riding areas as well as primitive camping areas. The area northeast of Fountain Hills is full of backroad primitive camping and hiking areas. The town is not far from the Superstition Mountains, downtown Phoenix museums and culture, 'Rim' country with cooler climate in summer and snow in winter, Native American culture and casinos, McDowell Mountain Preserve, etc.

| Family Friendly Fountain Hills - 7/1/2008
The town of Fountain Hills (population approx. 25,000) is situated northeast of Phoenix, just east of Scottsdale and north of Mesa, in the McDowell Mountain foothills. It is close to Lake Saguaro and Route 87, which is quick access for weekend trips out of the metropolitan area up to the mountains. There is no city property tax, yet there are many amenities through the Parks and Recreation Dept. for individuals of all ages. Temperatures are typically a few degrees cooler than the Phoenix metro area, and the atmosphere is casual and friendly.[read more...]

| Fountain HIlls Housing - 6/26/2007
Clean air, nice people, amazing views...
Hideious, poorly constructed homes. The town
resembles a Mexican border town where houses
are thrown up with no consideration of appearance.
There's a nice drive into Fountain Hills from
Scottsdale, you can tell when you crossed into
Fountain Hills city limits. Large craker jack
boxs crowd the hillsides like a pox.
