I lived in Chesterfield for 5 years in the 90's and the positive aspects are great schools, clean area and crime free. However, this is suburbia and there is absolutely nothing charming about it. There is no downtown area and basically it is just suburbs off of Clarkson Road. There is no sense of community. Most people were from other cities who were transferred there and they were very friendly.

No Wind - 10/5/2008

The climate in Chesterfield is moderate winters, hot humid summers. The best season is spring and the worst season is winter. The worst problem with the climate in this city is there is NO wind!

underestimated - 3/16/2008

The good things about Chesterfield are relatively inexpensive cost combined with many things to do in the area and proximity to an airport. Unlike many areas growing rapidly, drought is not an issue here.

High Quality Education - 12/6/2006

One of the things that attracts buyers to Chesterfield is the high quality of education afforded to the residents. Both school districts which serve Chesterfield enjoy excellent reputations. As a former teacher of elementary children, as a parent and as a real estate agent, I know how important education is to homeowners.

Community - 8/18/2006

Chesterfield is a suburb of St.Louis. Commonly referred to as West County Area. It is an upscaled section of St. Louis that has not been affected by the inter city crime. Property values have continued to grow with the economy. It is a great place to purchase your home if you want to see equity grow. Downside, properties are probably overpriced a little but there is very little risk to your investment.
