Things in Huntsville, Al are not as lovely as they are made to seem. The cost of living is fair on apartments. I feel that most of the houses are over price for the area when considering, the crime, location, and neighborhood. The grocery prices are outrageous my in laws lived in New York and just recently relocated here and they spend so much more money here and get so much less in grocery. Rape, homicides, home invasions, robberies are up, the crime hear is much higher than some of the neighboring cities that are so much bigger. Then is not a lot of opportunity for people without degrees if you are an engineer, are in the military, work for the military, and etc. then you will have it made, but there is no work above min. wage for people who do not come from money or are not part of this good old boy system.
