it is a small quiet new england town
people are polite but unless you grew up here you are an outsider
Winters are extreme, temp drops below 20 around mid nov and stays below until mid April lots of snow and icey conditions and there is 2 roads out of this town both have high incline mountains which are always fun in ice conditions
there are few jobs and most are paying near minimum wage so unless you are bringing work/lots of cash with you forget it
same goes for night life/social life if you are not bringing it with you expect nothing here
during winter, town is a ghost/grave yard after 7pm
in summer it is blocked up by tourist who are there because it is a cheap vacation for them they come for the bridge of flowers which is attractive in summer but after 15 minutes the thrill is over and you are left wondering why you came so far to see flowers growing on a bridge
lot of organic vegetarian pot smoking hippies
and yes there are a few heroin addicts here as well
taxes ,well lets put it this way we call this taxachusetts for a reason
your heating and utilities bills will blow your mind
