We have great schools and is a family oriented city. People are polite, low crime rates, and little to worry about really. Great Churches. Unemployment rate - 10/17/2008
I have lived in Enterprise, AL since 1977. I wasn't born in Enterprise and it is hard to be accepted in this small town if you weren't "born and raised" here. I have been here for 31 years and you would think a person could be accepted as being "from here".
The unemployment rate in Enterprise is really high. I done a search and came up with a 3.0%. I don't know where that figure came from but there is no way it can be correct. Enterprise has always been a place that was low on jobs and pay. Because of Ft. Rucker there are too many people in this town. Since Enterprise is the largest city close to Ft.Rucker, people from Ft. Rucker come to Enterprise. A lot of the soldiers wives work in Enterprise. They will hire a soldiers wife to work before they will someone that lives in Enterprise, knowing they will be leaving in a few months. I have seen this happen so many times.
