Great Place to Live - 9/26/2010
I raised my five children in Helena, Al 27 yrs ago when it was just one road and a few neighborhoods. Everytime I drive thru AL,I take the small detour thru Helena. It has become overpopulated in the last 10 yrs, yet offers everything a family would need. The best place to eat is just down the road-Fox Creek Restaurant. Great schools! Was the safest place to live in Ala a few years ago. I am moving soon..You guessed it, looking in Helena. Can't stand Georgia![read more...] |

Helena - 10/18/2007
I moved to Helena from Florida. Although I miss Florida, Helena is a nice little town to live in except for rush hour traffic. Life is very quiet in Helena and we have an almost non-existant crime rate. There is enough business in Helena for the necessities of life. Within 15-30 minutes, one has great shopping and a variety of restaurants. Atlanta is just a couple of hours, Chattanooga about two and a half and Nashville three.[read more...] |
