A great place to live - 12/3/2008
Citrus Springs is a very nice place to raise a family and have access to nature. It's close enough to some major cities Ocala 25 minutes, Tampa 1.5 hours, and Orlando 1.75 hours to have access but not be subject to the stress of larger cities. We have bike trails and rivers and the gulf coast and rolling hills. The only difficult thing around here is there aren't many jobs. Too Little - 8/12/2007
If you like living away from everything and where there is very little diversity in life but fishing than Citrus Springs is the place for you. The subdivision is huge but the growth has not happen as quick as I would prefer. The schools are adequate but we are receiving a new elementary which will give us two and soon a high school will be up and running. Wonderful place to live - 3/14/2007
To me, Citrus Springs is a wonderful place to live. It is very safe, with very low crime rate. Most crimes reported in Citrus Springs are of the domestic nature or stealing from construction sites of houses being built.
It is a very quiet community where we have friendly neighbors, always willing to give a hand. Everywhere you go in Citrus Springs, people speak. All ages of people, from the very young to the very old live here and everyone is very polite. It surely never hurts that the sun is shinning most of the days of the year. Nice relaxing, laid-back feeling here. We have a very nice paved, 46 mile trail that goes through Citrus Springs and beyond. There are also public tennis courts and a nice park with playground, basketball court and baseball diamond, and 2 golf courses. There is an Elementary and Middle School here, as Read More
