What BestPlaces Users Say about Noble

Noble, Illinois is a small town located in Richland County, with a population of just over 700 people. It is a quiet and peaceful community, surrounding by farmland and beautiful scenery. As a rural town, Noble offers a slower pace of life and a tight-knit community atmosphere. However, like any place, it has its pros and cons. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in Noble, let's take a look at what some users have to say about their experiences.

According to one user, named Sharon, Noble is "a great place to raise a family." She mentions that the schools are excellent and there are plenty of parks and recreational activities for kids. Another user, named Robert, also praises the town's family-friendly environment, saying that "it's a safe and quiet place for children to grow up." However, not all reviews are positive. A user named Kelly states that "there isn't much to do here, especially for young adults." She suggests that the lack of entertainment options can make the town feel boring and isolated.

In terms of the cost of living, a reviewer named Ben notes that "Noble is very affordable." He adds that the housing market is reasonable and the overall cost of living is low. However, another user, named Lisa, points out that "the job market is limited" and it can be challenging to find employment opportunities in Noble. She suggests that many residents commute to nearby towns for work.

Overall, it seems that Noble is a peaceful and family-oriented town, with affordable living costs. However, some may find it lacking in terms of entertainment and job opportunities. It's a close-knit community, but it may not be the ideal place for everyone.

Town of Memories - 9/10/2008
I also grew up in Noble. "Miss Mary" was my teacher, and "Miss Alice" taught me for 3 grades. I also had Ms. Prichard as a music teacher, and Mr. Kincade as my 6th grade teacher. I would like to correspond with anyone of that era. I think the small town shaped my character, and made a better man of me. I have so many memories of Noble, I could not begin to list them all, and many, many times I think of my grade school schoolmates, wondering where they are now, and what they are doing. The only one I ever was in touch with was Billy Stine, in 1955 in Oceanside, CA. when we were both in the Marine Corps.
I would very much like to see more photos of Noble and hear from some of my old friends. I lived in the little brown house on the highway going out of town toward Clay City, and across the road from the Roy Hannas.

Growing Up Noble - 8/18/2007
My life was begun in Noble, Until I was nine I knew no other existence. I went to school in the old Noble grade school, Miss Mary Toliver was one of my teachers. Alice Runyon was my teacher for three different grades. She was my aunt. My father owned a store on the curve, sold applances. Most of my family farmed south of Noble and still do.
There will always be a special place in my heart for Noble. My uncles taught me many things some good and some not so good. Grandpa Runyon taught how to live and how to work hard to my a living. I pastored in the United Methodist Church for twenty two years, started two churches. When I retired I went into real estate in Florida and had great success. Yes noble help mold me into the person I am and I thank them for Read More
