A bit isolated but really great people - 4/8/2019
Takes a while to get to a lot of places (about 45 minutes to an hour to any cluster of shopping), but I really am glad I’ve moved here. The country bumpkins are a lot more friendly. Aside from only a couple of instances, I overall have not endured any antagonistic reaction. Although you can’t always see it readily, there is a lot of money in this region where people work in the city but have houses on the area lakes. If you’re willing to drive a little, you have Chicago and Detroit at your disposal. Lots of great independent restaurants in spots that you wouldn’t expect particularly on the lakes.

Strangely, we’ve had problems with trash nazis here. They apparently don’t want you to have trash. The default Noble County Disposal was unnecessarily nasty to us. We changed to a more civil company, but there are still all these restrictions to how much trash you throw Read More
