Smallish town life with everything you need - 2/10/2012
I've lived in Lapeer for 17 years now and it is a great place to raise a family. It's got everything you need on a regular basis, shopping, grocery stores and restaurants. You really don't even have to leave other than maybe for work or a night on the town. The schools are solid and the crime is low. If you can handle the odd Michigan weather then it's a wonderful place to live.[read more...] |

Small town atmosphere, very few jobs available, mostly small manufacturing jobs and retail. Economic downfall, city relies mostly on automotive manufacturing in major cities to the west and south. Big three is in trouble, and unemployment is already very high. Not getting any better. Other than that, it's a decent little town.[read more...] |
