Prior Lake---an outlying "suburb" of Minneapolis - 6/24/2007
We actually live in Credit River Township, but our mailing address is Prior Lake. Our real estate taxes help pay for the schools in Prior Lake, but, in Credit River Township, we don't pay for city sewer and water. From my driveway to downtown Minneapolis is 24 miles. Prior Lake is south of the Minnesota River, in Scott County, the fastest growing county in the U.S. Lots of new construction. You can drive to almost anywhere in the Twin Cities, within a half to three quarters of an hour (add 10-15 minutes in Winter. The traffic is much lighter than places like LA or Washington D.C. Here in Minnesota, we have four beautiful, very distinct seasons. The Mall of America is nearby and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport connects us with the world.[read more...] |
