Dishonesty Rules - 2/1/2007
For the first couple of years that I lived in Little Silver I thought it was a friendly town. I learned otherwise. People here only care about money. This is a small town where people are connected in ways one would not realize. I've seen so much dishonesty going on between those who run the town and those who are part of the affluent sector. In the time I lived there I could write a book. People are very small minded in Little Silver. There is a code enforcement officer who is hired by the town and paid only to harass unsuspecting citizens by issuing tickets for noncompliance of the so called code. Don't think you could ever argue a ticket because the justice system here is so corrupt. There is an abuse of power and it is used to run people out of town. Many people who have lived here long term know what is going on behind the scenes, but put up with it as long as they are not bothered. If you have a large salary, you probably won't be.
