Hi,
I agreed with every thing the previous posting said, except for the "nastiness of people". My husband and I have lived in Massapequa Park for seven years. New Yorkers are an aggressive bunch, but I think Massapequa Park is the exception. I have met lovely neighbors and have always found the people and shop owners of Massapequa Park to be extremely nice. They drive a bit fast and should obey more stop signs. Nice place to raise a family - 11/13/2006
We've lived in Massapequa Park for 6 years, and it's a nice place to raise a family. It's a predominately Irish and Italian town. Very few minorities - it's actually a bit strange in that respect. One thing about Long Island is that you rarely meet anyone else that has come from another area of the country, except for maybe Queens or Brooklyn NY. Long Island has it's own culture in a lot of respects and it takes some getting used to. Everything in Massapequa Park is convienient and pretty nice.
