Wonderful place to live... - 3/31/2013
We just moved here from Chicago about six months ago after visiting Charlotte several time because our son attends UNCC. We happened to visit Davidson to find a new restaurant and loved the area so much that we kept visiting it and finding new adventurous and wonderful things about the area. First, it is home of the prestigious Davidson College and much of the city seems to have been built around this. The small town downtown area is very quaint has wonderful restaurants and the Summit coffee shop will have you leaving Starbucks on your first try. My boys and I love basketball and had a great time attending Davidson College game. You love outdoors? We love walking our dogs along the greenways...miles of greenways. Beautiful and if if you enjoy water, you'll love Lake Norman. We haven't tried renting a boat yet but look forward to it this summer. Our family gives the town an A+ for the quaint feel, love the walks to Summit coffee and Toaast for dinner. Walking around the college campus Read More

Davidson is a great city - 10/27/2012
Granted we just moved to Davidson just a few weeks ago but we find it to be one of the best all-around cities to live in. Close to Charlotte, you have the benefit of being next to a large city with all of its cultural events and activities but away from the hustle and bustle and crime of actually being in a big city. Davidson is a Lake Norman community with generous nature scenes all over town. It is also home of Davidson College an exclusive private college with its own cultural and sports activities. if you enjoy basketball, Davidson has an excellent DIII team. The downtown area is quaint and with a lot of little shops, restaurants and bars. We just moved from Chicagoland and so far, couldn't be happier. Can't wait to enjoy the moderate winters and low property taxes! Goodby Chicago, hello Read More
