Over Taxation - 10/7/2020
Thinking of living in Waynesboro. Really nice, friendly people and a great City to live in as long as you plan to stay. You'll be penalized for living there any time you leave, though. What you'll want to know is that if you own any property including a car, reside there on January 1st of a year and move to another city or state, they will tax you on that property for the entire year. So, in most instances you'll pay taxes in your new location and Waynesboro too. They refuse to prorate Read More

Worse place ever for retirees!!!!! - 9/1/2020
Don't know why it was given top ratings. Worse place ever!!!! They do not hire people over 40 and they claim to be veteran friendly but they aren't. I retired from the military at 52 and had to live in my car for a year because I could not find a job. I put in 435 applications and never got a call or interview. The people act friendly but once they get to know you they stab you in the back. Typical small town attitude: either you all went to school together or you are somehow related to each other. Staunton is actually much better. Oh, and the police now have officers that look like they are 16 and they are scared of their own shadow. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I am moving out of state this month and can hardly Read More

Hate it - 4/17/2019
Waynesboro is horrible dont move here! I been here unfortunately all my life im 29. People here suck old ppl scared to do the speed limit so traffic is jammed up during rush hours. Also if your young like myself and want to take your kids out you will find there is nothing to do! Except drive 2 drive 2 + hours away! Waynesboro schools is bad and so are stauntons! I live in the county the schools are better depends greatly on what side of the county you live in! Racism is very alive here in 2017 i took my daughters trick or treating on Halloween then went to arbys and this boys parents had him dressed as a kkk leader! Ppl will destroy your property because they are jealous of what you have or because your liked by someone that does not like them! I hate it here i will not be spending the rest of my life Read More

Great place to retire. - 1/1/2018
We moved to Waynesboro from Cleveland in the summer of 2017. Fortunate enough to live in a quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac. Waynesboro is a small, quiet town with friendly people. Y'all will be called "Darlin', dear, sweetheart, etc." Convenient to shopping. Although no big malls with stores like Macy's, Dillard's or Pennys. Within quick driving distance to Staunton, where you'll find TJ Maxx, Black Briar Shakespeare Theater. Waynesboro has its own Wayne Theater. Kick back and Read More
